WICOR Water Systems Group Offers Light, Durable Fibrewound Tanks
Press release date: Oct 03, 2002
Built tough for quality and durability, every signature 2000 tank utilizes a durable, FDA approved air cell that's resistant to chlorine and will not promote taste or odor problems often associated with iron bacteria that may be present in the water supply.
Other features include: o Exclusive serviceability, without taking the take off-line o Resists dents, scratches and rust o Up to 50% lighter than comparable steel tanks makes one-person installations possible o Epoxy-rich surface finish reduces fiberglass "fuzzing", and resists UV effects
Each tank is wrapped with more than three miles of overlapping, continuous fiberglass strands, sealed with high-grade epoxy resin and oven cured. The tough composite construction means longer-lasting tanks that will not rust, corrode, dent or scratch. The lightweight tanks are half the weight of steel tanks of the same capacity and can be handled easily by one person for easy installation. The tanks also feature a top-mount design for easy access to the air cell.
Professional installers should contact their salesman or distributor for more information.
