End Stops reduce noise and excessive wear.

Press Release Summary:

Cushioned End Stops are neoprene spacers that match ID/OD dimensions of shaft collars to reduce problems caused by metal-to-metal contact in linear stroke applications. PTFE version provides low coefficient of friction in rotary applications, and help prevent galling from stainless steel contacting stainless steel. End stops come in sizes from 1/2 ID x 1-1/8 in. OD up to 2 ID x 3 in. OD. Neoprene end stops are 1/8 in. thick; PTFE is 1/16 in.

END STOPS AND THRUST BEARINGS
CUSHION LOADS, REDUCE NOISE AND WEAR

A new line of neoprene end stops and PTFE thrust bearings that provide a cushioned surface to reduce noise and excessive wear is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corporation of Wilmington, Massachusetts.

Stafford Cushioned End Stops are neoprene spacers that match the ID/OD dimensions of their shaft collars to reduce the noise and excessive wear caused by metal-to-metal contact in linear stroke limiting applications. A PTFE version that provides a lower coefficient of friction as a bearing surface in rotary applications is available, especially to help prevent galling from stainless steel contacting stainless steel.

Fully compatible with their shaft collars, Stafford Cushioned End Stops come in sizes ranging from 1/2" ID x 1-1/8" OD up to 2" ID x 3" OD. Neoprene end stops are 1/8" thick and come in soft (Shore A 40) and Medium (Shore A 60) durometers, and the PTFE spacers are 1/16" thick.

Stafford Cushioned End Stops are priced according to material, size, and quantity. Free samples and pricing are available upon request.
