Rittal's Optipanel Provides Ideal Enclosure Solution For Small HMI Operator Panels
Press release date: September 1, 2004
SPRINGFIELD, OH, September 2004 - Rittal Corporation offers its Optipanel as the ideal enclosure solution for Human Machine Interface (HMI) industrial applications where smaller, lightweight operator display panels are required. With its attractive, flat design, the Optipanel offers easy installation of operator units and can be customized to meet equipment specifications.
The Optipanel features extruded aluminum housing and front frame, die-cast zinc protective corners and flexible gasketing trim. When a proper front panel is installed, the Optipanel design is NEMA 12/IP65 rated.
This operator panel housing is available in three depths, including: 50 mm (2.0 in), 100 mm (3.9 in) and 150 mm (5.9 in). Retaining clamps provide the flexibility to install a variety of standard operator interface display panels. Installation depths for a keyboard housing are 50 mm (2.0) or 100 mm (3.9 in).
Through Rittal's build-to-order program, the Optipanel can be customized to match equipment specifications. Users can easily configure an Optipanel with an operator panel housing, mullion, rear wall and a keyboard housing. Individual knockouts and installation options can also be added if required. For remote applications, Optipanel can be mounted on stationary pedestals or mobile bases. The integrated, reinforced roofs may also be connected to pendant arms through a simple enclosure coupling.
