New 450E Vibratone® Electronic Horn



Federal Signal's Vibratone® Series combines compact size, impressive output and industrial-grade construction



University Park, Ill -- Providing effective sound output through a patent pending electronics design, Federal Signal Corporation's newly released Model 450E Vibratone® electronic horn is well suited for a full scope of industrial and institutional signaling applications, including general alarm, start/dismissal, coded paging and process-control signaling for high ambient noise environments.



Available in 12VDC, 24VDC, 125VDC and 250VDC voltages, the Model 450E reproduces either coded blasts or sustained tones with an output of 99dBa @ 10 feet. These versatile units can be controlled by devices ranging from a pushbutton to a PLC. Flexible mounting options accommodate surface-, flush- or semi-flush mounting on walls, panels, cabinet interiors, 4-inch square outlet boxes, or concrete and deep-wall construction.



Vibratone units are UL, cUL, ULC and CSFM Listed, and marine rated. The Model 450E is designed and approved for use in Type 4X applications when installed with panel-mount gasket (included) or optional weatherproof backbox (Model WB). Rugged construction features such as zinc die-cast housing, powder-coat sealing, stainless steel diaphragm and heavy-duty contacts provide resistance to corrosive industrial environments as well as protection against vandalism.
