Electronic Descalers suit large diameter pipelines.

Press Release Summary:

UL-listed ScaleBlaster handles standard diameters of non-ferrous pipe from 12-40 in. and ferrous pipe from 4-26 in. Microprocessor sends out square-wave current that sweeps range of frequencies. Carried by signal coils, current induces a dynamic electromagnetic field perpendicular to water stream that forces calcium carbonate to come out of solution as soft, nonadhesive, submicron particles that remain suspended in water and flow harmlessly through system.

New Electronic Descalers for Large-Diameter Pipeline

ClearWater Enviro Technologies, Inc. announces an effective, cost-saving and nonpolluting alternative to chemical descaling of large-diameter pipeline and all downstream pipelines and equipment such as valves, pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, chillers, evaporators, and cooling towers.

The company has added seven new models to its UL-listed ScaleBlaster line of electronic descalers. Now shipping worldwide, these models handle standard diameters of non-ferrous pipe from 12" to 40" and of ferrous pipe from 4" to 26", far wider than any similar technology.

Industrial ScaleBlaster units operate like those designed for smaller-diameter pipe. A microprocessor in the control unit sends out a square-wave current that rapidly sweeps a range of select frequencies. Carried by signal coils that wrap multiple times around an upstream pipeline, this current induces a dynamic electromagnetic field perpendicular to the water stream that forces calcium carbonate to come out of solution as soft, nonadhesive, submicron particles. These remain suspended in the water and flow harmlessly through the system.

Removal of already-existing scale comes as the necessary byproduct of this scale-prevention process. The radical reduction in calcium hardness yields a corresponding increase in water solvency, so that existing scale wears away and does not return.
