Ultra Smooth Electric Slip Clutch
The "Electro Slip" uses the proprietary asbestos free friction system developed by Polyclutch which results in static friction being less than dynamic friction. Torque is gradually applied and electrically controlled, enabling change during operation ...... or for quick set-up.
No "suddenly applied load" is transmitted through the mechanism. This reduces shock and makes it ideal for many design engineering applications such as tension control on wire, film thread, paper, etc. Unlike many devices meant for only occasional slip of short duration, the Polyclutch slippers are designed for continuous or intermittent slip with surprisingly long life, 30 million cycles being standard.
The "Electro Slip" is built by Custom Products Corporation, an ISO-9001 certified manufacturer, offering mechanical, pneumatic and electro-magnetic clutches and brakes, and Polyvolt fractional HP motors.
