VX380T Drilling and Tapping Center for Face and End Milling

The VX380T is a drilling and tapping center capable of face and end milling. The footprint of 66.1" by 93.5" is one of the smallest in this class of machines. The table is 23.6" by 15". The ample room also helps increase productivity. The X, Y, and Z traverses are 520, 380, and 350mm (20, 15, and 13.8"). The VX380T boasts "1G" acceleration with a rapid traverse of 56m/min (2,205 ipm). This is the fastest in its class. It is possible to retract twice as fast as the forward traverse during rigid tapping.

An ATC with 14 tools is standard and a tool change takes only 1.1 seconds. This provides the fastest chip to chip time by spindle lever system in its class at 1.9 seconds. Fanuc 0iMB is available. A slanted bed construction provides excellent chip and coolant disposal at the side of the machine. The VX380T has an excellent spindle acceleration of 0.6 seconds to reach 12,000 rpm. The special spindle for tapping with a direct connection to the 10HP spindle motor maintains a high level of stability and accuracy while machining at high speed. The pre-tensioned bearing provides excellent rigidity and provides thermal stability, which extends the life of the bearing, and enables the production of parts at speeds of 12,000 rpm.
