Collaboratively Designed and Developed with Customers and Partners

New, Independent ME10 Advisory Council and CoCreate Collaborate to Bring New Features and Enhancements to ME10 2002 Dynamic Drafting

CoCreate Software Inc., a leading provider of collaborative design software solutions, today announced a new release of its 2D mechanical design and drafting software that permits higher levels of collaborative design and contains more than 100 customer-driven enhancements, including improvements in user interaction, drawing performance and new platform support. The new release, ME10 2002 Dynamic Drafting, a key component of CoCreate's OneSpace Solution Suite, integrates all of CoCreate's product lines into a complete, scaleable solution targeting all stages of the collaborative product design process across the extended enterprise.

ME10 2002 was designed, developed and tested in cooperation with the ME10 Advisory Council, an independent, voluntary organization representing more than 100,000 users of ME10, and more than 250 sales and technical partners worldwide. The Advisory Council works closely with CoCreate Software in designing, developing, and testing new capabilities and enhancements for CoCreate's solutions.

"ME10 2002 addresses the manufacturer's need for more effective software solutions to drive collaboration, increase product innovation and decrease time to market," said Tilman Schad, president and chief executive officer of CoCreate.

ME10 2002 offers more than 100 enhancements on both Windows and HP-UX platforms, including the following:

Loading multiple drawings - Supports design teams in quickly sharing and loading multiple drawings, irrespective of original format, and in copying parts or details from different drawings into one master drawing.

Dramatically improved graphics performance when dynamically panning and zooming across drawings - Designers can choose to omit small parts or certain element types (such as text or dimensions) to dramatically improve the interactive performance when panning and zooming large drawings.

Automatic ability to close open contours for hatching automatically - New ME10 capability identifies and fixes small gaps in drawings, even imported drawings, readying them for automatic hatching.

For Windows users, the new advanced multiple drawing plotting supports macro and automated printing of multiple drawings. Designers can specify such things as destination, paper size, rotation and offset directly in ME10. This accelerates the plotting of multiple drawings to a company's specifications.

CoCreate offers the OneSpace Solution Suite on a broad range of platfomis. ME10 2002 offers support of latest hardware platforms, including HP-UX 1li and Microsoft Windows XP
