Digital Torquemeters require no manual adjustments.

Press Release Summary:

Offering full scale ranges from 25-10,000 lbf-in., non-contact MCRT® 48200V Series produces ±10 V or ±5 V analog output and is available with 0.2% Code N or 0.15% Code C accuracy. Units feature alloy steel shaft with 200% torque overload capacity, and provide engineering unit data via com port. In addition to storing calibration values, scaling, and units of measure in non-volatile memory, meters automatically load these values when powered up.

S. Himmelstein and Company Announces Release of New Compact Digital Torquemeters, No Manual Adjustments Required

(Hoffman Estates, IL, October 13, 2006) - S. Himmelstein and Company announces the release of new MCRT® 48200V Series Compact Digital Torquemeters. These new torque transducers are ideal for control, laboratory, and production use, have no pots or switches, and do not require any manual adjustments.

In addition to storing calibration values, scaling, and units of measure in nonvolatile
memory, the new torquemeters automatically load these values when powered up. Any of ten supported units of measure can be selected without recalibration.

These compact, non-contact devices have full scale ranges from 25 to 10,000 lbf-in (2.82 to 1,130 Nm). Two accuracy grades are available: 0.2% (Code N standard performance) and 0.15% (Code C enhanced performance). The MCRT® 48200V Series also outputs ±10V or ±5V analogs of torque and engineering unit data via com port.

Other features include:
o Internal signal processing accurate to 14 bits
o Strain gage sensing in a robust, compact assembly
o High strength alloy steel shaft with 200% torque overload capacity
o NIST traceable calibration-performed in Himmelstein's accredited laboratory (NVLAP Lab Code 200487-0)
o Inherent noise tolerance
o Optional speed pickup

The MCRT® 48200V Series includes software that interfaces with Windows®-based PCs
that displays engineering unit current, peak, valley and spread data; classifies limits; and performs real-time plotting. The software will also save data to disk, store test setup parameters, and archive calibration history.
