Cadmus Communications Releases Digital Rights Management Solution for Mobile Devices

RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 24 - Cadmus Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:CDMS) announced today that it has released a new version of its digital rights management (DRM) solution, RapidRights(TM), to support the Windows mobile operating system. Specifically, the new version of RapidRights now provides an easy to use solution for publishers who want to deliver secure content to PDAs running Windows Mobile 2003 and higher.

"In an increasingly mobile environment, it remains important for publishers and content owners to retain control and security around the distribution of their content," said Hai Tran, SVP of Strategic Development and Emerging Solutions. "In order for publishers to enable the broadest distribution of their content, it is important for them to have confidence in the security of that content on a mobile platform without creating difficult obstacles for the content consumer."

RapidRights allows publishers and content aggregators to deliver protected PDF files to users and is the only DRM solution that does not require a separate download or plug-in to open the protected files. RapidRights is the electronic delivery component of Cadmus' ArticleWorks(TM), a comprehensive content delivery and digital rights management system that facilitates the delivery of the content on demand in either printed or secure electronic formats.
