Digester Gas Burner

Winfield, Kansas – Webster Engineering announces the shipment of another digester gas / natural gas burner.  The unit pictured below has an output of 2,200 MBH and uses the Honeywell Mod Motor linkage control system and flame safeguard.  There are two gas inlets, each sized for the appropriate gas.  Since Digester Gas has less BTU content than Natural Gas, the gas valve is a larger size.  Mounted on a Superior Boiler Osage boiler.

The digester burner series ranges from 400 MBH (10 HP) to 92,000 MBH (2,200 HP), available with linkage or linkageless controls and can be modified to handle methane, syngas or other waste gases.  Stainless steel gas piping is typical to withstand the corrosive nature of Digester Gas.  The model below shows the use of a stainless steel control panel.  The control system is designed to use all the Digester Gas that is available and automatically switches to Natural Gas when the Digester Gas supply drops off but other control schemes are available.
