Alfa Laval Releases New Dewatering Module
The ALSYS 400 Series of Dewatering Modules offers a plug-in-and-play solution for reducing sludge volumes for industrial, municipal and potable water treatment plants. Module capacities ranging from 8 gpm (2 m³/h) to 70 gpm (15 m³/h) are available in a compact design that offers fast and easy on-site installation simply by plugging the unit into to the installation. The modules are designed to handle a variety of common sludge types. Automatic operation allows for minimal operator attention
The modules are based on the ALDEC decanter and each module consists of a progressing cavity feed pump, flow meter, polymer make-up unit, piping, valves and a screw conveyor for dewatered sludge. A central control panel ensures trouble-free operation and safety. The ALSYS Dewatering Module provides an inexpensive and reliable dewatering facility for small municipal plants. The module is mobile can be rotated to serve several small wastewater plants.
