SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 22 - Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., a market leader in document imaging scanners and services, today introduced the Fujitsu fi-5110C, a small compact desktop scanner with best in class functionality. Ideal for decentralized or workgroup scanning applications, Fujitsu leveraged the industry-leading technology found in its departmental and production-level scanners to bring the Fujitsu fi-5110C model to customers at an affordable price. With reliable paper-handling the Fujitsu fi-5110C scanner can easily handle everything from business cards and checks to legal-sized and other long documents up to 34".

This latest addition to the Fujitsu family of world-class scanning solutions shares much of the advanced technology found in high-end scanners, including high-speed USB 2.0 connectivity, a 50-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) that accommodates a wide range of document sizes (2.1 in. x 2.9 in. to 8.5 in. x 34 in.), and double-feed detection for reliable scanning. At speeds up to 15 ppm (simplex) / 30 ipm (duplex) it quickly and efficiently transforms paper documents into manageable digital files. The Fujitsu scanner also offers true, 600-dpi optical resolution and dual-CCD scanning arrays to consistently capture fine details in color and monochrome.

The Fujitsu fi-5110C scanner comes standard with Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) 6.0 Standard and ScandAll 21 which allow users to quickly and easily integrate the scanner into existing workflows. The scanner also comes with TWAIN and ISIS driver support included.

The Fujitsu fi-5110C scanner comes standard with a 1-year depot limited warranty. Additionally, the Advance Exchange service offering, Fujitsu's overnight replacement program, provides the customer a replacement scanner prior to shipment of any malfunctioned scanner back to Fujitsu. The Advance Exchange offering for the fi-5110C is offered as an upgrade during the limited warranty period for only $59 or on a yearly basis post-warranty for only $99 (contract and agreement required for replacement unit).
