On-Q/Legrand® Announces the inQuire(TM) Intercom System
Harrisburg, PA (March 2, 2006) - On-Q/Legrand, the connected home market leader, announced a new name for its award-winning line of Cat 5 Intercoms - inQuire Intercoms. Renaming the Intercoms is part of On-Q's overall strategy to position the product line for increased consumer-brand recognition and continued growth.
In fact, On-Q has already announced an addition to its expanding family of Cat 5-based inQuire Intercoms - a free-standing desktop intercom. Designed for home office or bedside applications, the inQuire Desktop Intercoms (F9018-XX) provide every functionality of the wall units, but they're housed in a durable plastic casing to sit on surfaces.
The new intercom plugs into any RJ45 outlet that is home run back to the enclosure and can be moved from room to room as needed. This means the desktop intercom can be moved from place to place as needed. Rubber grips on the bottom of the units prevent them from sliding around on surfaces. The unit also offers a great retrofit opportunity for customers who already have an On-Q Intercom System but would like additional units in the home.
