CUI's Desktop External AC-DC Power Supply Series Expands to Meet Level VI Efficiency Standards



90 and 120 watt adapters boost active and no-load efficiency performance



TUALATIN, Ore. — CUI Inc today announced the enhancement of its 90 W and 120 W desktop ac-dc power supply series to meet the new Level VI efficiency standards. The SDI90-U and SDI120-U series meet the more stringent average efficiency and no load power requirements set to go into effect in February 2016. The US Department of Energy (DOE) Level VI standards aim to significantly lower the amount of power consumed when the end application is not in use or is no longer connected to the system.



The external power supplies also features a wide universal input voltage range of 90~264 Vac and are available in single output voltages of 12, 15, 16, 18, 19, 24, and 48 Vdc depending on the series. The adapters offer UL/cUL, GS and PSE safety approvals and meet the radiated and conducted emission requirements for FCC Part 15B Class B. Additional features include power factor correction as well as over voltage and short circuit protections.
