New Manhole Camera with x40 Zoom is Available at Fiberscope.net

An innovative and portable manhole camera has recently been added to MEDIT product line of inspection zoom cameras at http://www.fiberscope.net/. The new system, known as CYCLOPS, stands out for its impressive extra strong x40 optical zoom, which makes it possible to see the texture of the inspected object in detail. The camera is specifically designed to detect even tiny cracks or corrosion. Ideal for the inspection of confined spaces, such as ceilings, stormwater culverts, sewer lines or silo towers, this U.S. made camera combines affordability, portability, and quality. During inspections a user can manually tilt the camera head up and down to inspect areas of interest.

The manhole camera consists of an articulating 14 feet (4.2 meters) long telescopic pole (optional poles up to 40 ft., or 12 meters are available) with a pole supporting rod, and a DVR unit. The DVR is furnished with a 5.6" TFT color monitor with recording capabilities. Inspection results are stored directly onto an WiFi SD card, which permits to record and transmit recorded data. The still photos are recorded as JPEG files, while videos are captured in MPEG/AVI format. Since the camera is engineered mostly for use in dark spaces, the illumination and image quality come to the forefront. The new Cyclops boasts with patented LED light technology which provides super bright illumination. A Color Exmor CMOS sensor guarantees crisp and clear image even in complete darkness. Depending on the conditions, the camera can be used to inspect objects located up to 200 ft (60 meters) away from the camera head.

The CYCLOPS x40 Zoom manhole camera is equipped with a NiMH, 7.2V, 2.7AH rechargeable battery pack good for up to 1.5 hours of continuous work at full intensity on a single full charge. A GPS, a laser range finder, and a pole support bracket may be added to the device optionally upon request. The system comes in a hard plastic peli type case for added portability.
