Original Press Release
MATHESON Select® Limited Edition #2 Custom Welding Helmet Now Available
Press release date: August 13, 2012
Basking Ridge, NJ - - MATHESON has announced the second in its series of MATHESON Select® Limited Edition Custom Welding Helmets.
MATHESON launched the Limited Edition Custom Welding Helmet Series when the Company introduced its line of MATHESON Select® shielding gases, welding products, and associated supplies. The original MATHESON Select® Limited Edition #1 Custom Welding Helmet has sold out, and will not be available again.
The Limited Edition #2 Custom Welding Helmet will be available in both light-duty and all-duty models. The light-duty helmet is available with three shade types: auto-darkening variable shade, auto-darkening fixed shade, and passive shade. The auto-darkening shades have been upgraded with digital technology and are controlled by two independent arc sensors. The light-duty models are available in MATHESON stores now.
The all-duty model will be available later this year, and will feature a heavy-duty helmet structure and additional shade features.
All models include a built-in magnifying lens holder. The helmets carry a two year warranty, and are packaged with a protective bag, comfort cushion, doo rag, and protective inside and outside cover lenses.
Mary Smickenbecker, VP Corporate Marketing says, "Welding helmets are personal. These helmets are exclusively available at MATHESON, and are something of a tribute to our hard-working welding customers."
Designed especially for MATHESON by Freddy Sicoli of Killer Kreations in Philadelphia, PA, the helmet design art was originally done by airbrush. The design features a dragon on one side and a koi fish on the other. Freddy, who is nationally recognized by custom car and motorcycle enthusiasts for his distinctive designs, also designed the Limited Edition #1 Custom Welding Helmet for MATHESON.
In Japanese culture and legend, koi fish symbolize strength and determination. Dragons symbolize power and fearlessness. In one popular Japanese legend, if a koi fish swims up a certain waterfall to a point called Dragon Gate, the fish becomes a dragon. Koi and dragons are often used in art together; the pairing is particularly popular in contemporary tattoo art.
The MATHESON Select® Limited Edition #2 Custom Welding Helmet is available for sale at over 170 MATHESON stores in the United States. Information is also available by contacting MATHESON at 1-877-684-4427, or visiting the website at www.mathesongas.com/welding.
