Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions Announces Enhanced 500 Series Of Compact PCI And VME Enclosures

Custom electronic packaging for industrial printing applications

Brockton, Mass. - Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions, an innovative leader in electronic packaging and system expansion solutions, announces its enhanced 500 Series of CompactPCI/VME enclosures for industrial printing applications. Engineered with a durable and versatile open architecture, the 500 Series is an ideal option for control, automated assembly and central office applications in which a traditional 'whitebox' computer does not suffice and is ideal for industrial printing applications where traditional computers do not stack up. The 500 Series' turnkey system incorporates a backplane, as well as a power and cooling system, thereby allowing end-users to completely and inexpensively customize their industrial printer's computing system. The 500 Series includes four configurable models (505, 535, 545, and 555), each designed to meet VITA and PICMG backplane specifications. The 500 Series enclosures feature the redundancy of N+1 hot-swap power supplies, so there is no need to shut the power down to make adjustments to the system. The easily accessible open architecture of the 500 Series makes serviceability and changeability a quick and easy process, significantly reducing the mean-time-to-repair in case of a problem. The 500 Series enclosures can be configured for both AC and DC power inputs with a ground stud and ESD jack on the rear I/O panel to meet NEBS requirements.

Available through Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions' unique 'Quick-Turn' program, the 500 series offers a range of standard and customizable enclosures and backplanes for immediate system integration. The Quick-Turn program encourages customers to collaborate with Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions' engineers in designing the ideal solution for their application.
