Packaging Innovation from Double H Plastics Has Greater Crush Resistance, Protects Fragile, Frangible or High Value Products
Press release date: June 24, 2011
Warminster, PA - The lowly corner board commonly used to protect products in shipping is now available in a durable material that delivers far better protection than ordinary corner board.
Corner Board PDH(TM), produced by Double H Plastics, is fabricated of high-impact polystyrene instead of the usual paperboard, producing a far tougher shape. Test results show that it withstands crushing forces up to 25-percent greater than paperboard, protects edges and corners of the load from damage, gives better vertical stability, and shields those areas gripped by strapping. In addition, Corner Board PDH can be sterilized and is inherently non-microbial and anti-bacterial. It's also waterproof and weather resistant, and since it's not prone to pick up dirt and other contaminants it maintains a clean appearance.
Corner Board PDH is stocked by Double H Plastics in standard sizes of 3", 36", 42", 48" and 60". Custom lengths are readily available and it's both re-usable and recyclable. Colors available include white and black, and just-in-time delivery can be arranged. This and all other Double H Plastics' products are made in U.S.A.
Development of Corner Board PDH stems from requests by several industries looking to enhance the protection of their products in packing and shipping These include pharmaceutical producers, brick and tile plants, glass manufacturers and others. Corner Board PDH is also suitable to protect instruments and medical devices, computers, electronics, beverage bottles, paper products, farm products, food and baked goods.
