Original Press Release:

14-Slot Chassis Fits 12.1" LCD in 5U Rack Height

The NIC 12 chassis from CyberResearch, Inc. takes advantage of modern flat-panel displays, power supplies, and passive backplanes to fit 14 PCI and ISA slots plus an ultra-bright 12.1" display into only 5U (8.75") of rack height. A locking door prevents unauthorized access to drives and controls.

The CyberResearch(R) NIC 12 chassis can be specified with a variety of All-in-One(TM) CPU cards, depending on the user's need for power and speed. An optional 1U (1.75") pull-out keyboard is ideal for data-intensive applications, or a resistive touchscreen can be provided for use with user-friendly graphically oriented software.

A backplane with 14 full-height full-length slots can be configured to suit most industrial and scientific applications. Choose from 14 ISA slots; 4 PCI/1 CPU/9 ISA slots; or 7 PCI/1 CPU/6 ISA slots. Large heat sinks and fans on some high-speed CPUs may partially block some slots. Our applications engineers are glad to provide free configuration assistance.

NIC 12 chassis can be ordered with a redundant power supply for for fail-safe applications. They withstand temperatures up to 122°F and shocks up to 10g.

In addition to NIC 12 industrial chassis - now shipping from stock - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers panel-mount, and desktop PCs, as well as data-acquisition and motion-control systems.
