Compound produces explosion-proof seals.

July 9, 2003 - ChicoÂ® SpeedSeal(TM) Compound enables users to install complete explosion-proof seal in less than 5 min via use of 3-step process that involves pumping (to mix), injecting compound, and replacing plug to seal fitting. Compound expands after injection to fill entire fitting, automatically separating conductors. Hardened mass is suitable for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D as well as Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F, and G applications.

Cooper Crouse-Hinds® Introduces the New Chico® SpeedSeal(TM) Compound for Explosionproof Seals

Chico® SpeedSeal comes in a pre-measured self-contained applicator, eliminating the need for water or extra mixing containers. Just pump to mix, inject the pre-measured amount, replace the plug and the fitting is sealed.
The Chico SpeedSeal compound expands after injection to tightly fill the entire fitting, automatically separating the conductors. The time-consuming and tedious task of packing fiber to separate the individual conductors is eliminated, saving the end-user 45 minutes. The end-user also saves an average of $45 (US dollars) in labor on every ¾-inch sealing fitting installed.
Chico SpeedSeal Compound will quickly harden to a dense, strong mass that is suitable for use in Class I, Division 1 Groups C & D and Class II, Division 1 Groups E, F & G applications. It is UL Listed and cUL Listed for use with Cooper Crouse-Hinds EYS Sealing Fittings up to 2 inches.
