Konica Minolta Announces Availability of CA-2000 Color Analyzer

RAMSEY, N.J., May 4 -- Konica Minolta Sensing Americas, Inc. (KMSA) announces the availability of the CA-2000 2D Color Analyzer. The CA-2000 is an instrument for high-resolution, two-dimensional measurement of the luminance distribution and chromaticity distribution of Flat Panel Displays, DLP (Digital Light Processing) projectors, back up lights, instrument panels, automotive navigation systems, back lit displays and other similar products. Data Management Software, CA-S20w, is included with the CA-2000, and provides processes from measurement to data analysis and color evaluation that can be performed efficiently in a short time. The CA-2000 uses Tristimulus filters combined with an ultra high-resolution CCD to offer responsivity matching the human eye, allowing accurate, high-resolution two-dimensional measurement. This combination of instrument and software is a powerful tool for development evaluation or inspection.

"The CA-2000's compact and light weight design allows it to be used anywhere, whether for a TV, car taillight, or outdoor display," said Nick Lena, business unit manager for radiometric products and solutions, KMSA. "And the Data Management Software CA-S20w increases its ease of use, and drastically shortens the work time between measurement and evaluation."

CA-2000 Standard Features

-- Sensor with Tristimulus Filters
-- High-resolution 1-million-pixel CCD
-- Interchangeable lenses for measurements of various objects
-- Individual lens calibration using multiple focal points
-- Easy operation with included software

CA-2000 Innovations and Additional Features:

-- Synchronized measurement can be performed by numerical input through a
sync frequency.
-- Integration of as many as 256 measurements ensures accurate
measurements even at low luminance levels.
-- Backlight cancel function compensates for the effect of backlight
variations when performing evaluations.
-- User calibration for both luminance and chromaticity.
