Clamps offer jaw for holding short, wide parts.

Press Release Summary:

Series PFC Clamps with W-Jaw produce 7,200 lb of total clamp force, 2.187 in. above tooling surface at 87 psi. Force is constant as jaws close through last 2° per jaw, producing 0.150 in. wide power window. Tooling surface has dowels and threads to NAMS NC blocks. Modular design allows jaws and bushing block to be removed for modification. Position sensing option provides open and close sensing with AC or DC weldfield immune switch mounted to protected housing.

NEW 'W' Jaw Released for Series PFC Clamps

PHD announces the release of the NEW 'W' jaw for Series PFC Clamps. Clamps featuring the 'W' jaw design are especially suited for clamping short, wide parts closer to the tooling surface. The 'W' jaw produces 7,200 lbs of total clamp force 2.187 inches above the tooling surface at 87 psi. This force is constant as the jaws close through the last two degrees (per jaw), producing a 0.150 inch wide power window.

Series PFC Clamps are also available with the 'L' jaw to accommodate tall, narrow components. Both designs can be specified with an optional weld cover to protect the unit against harmful sparks and debris created in welding environments. Series PFC Clamps conform to North American Automotive Metric Standards (NAMS), offer the lowest cost of ownership, and are available in one working day.

Additional benefits include:
o Tooling surface has dowels and threads to North American Automotive Metric Standards (NAMS) NC blocks.
o 'L' Style Jaws have dowels and threads for NAMS mounting and shims.
o Modular design allows the jaws and bushing block to be easily removed for modification.
o Position sensing option provides open and close sensing with an industry standard AC or DC weldfield immune switch mounted to a protected housing.
o Operates quietly in less than .6 seconds. Flow controls are not required. Body has orifice communication.
o Fully field repairable in less than 30 minutes using only four metric hex wrenches.
