SETCO Sales Company Introduces The New, Low-Cost Sentry C-Series Model C017 Cartridge Spindle



CINCINNATI, OH (January 14, 2002) -SETCO Sales Company's Sentry C-Series Model C017 spindle, the newest addition to its Sentry series of value priced, belt-driven precision spindles, features a standard product with limited options and 1-2 week shipment.

The C017 is a low-cost solution for finishing operations. including light boring, milling, grinding, sawing, drilling and honing. Featuring a standard "off-the-shelf' design, supporting new and retrofit applications, C017 is built for high-speed precision machining, offering up to 34,000 rpm and 35 in-lbs torque.

The Sentry C017 is offered in two configurations: Plain Cartridge and Positioning Nut Cartridge. As options, the C017 is offered in three spindle nose configurations: Arbor, Straight Bore, and Collet Nose. In addition, the C017 can be equipped with either a Clamp Style or Positioning Nut Mounting Bracket to meet application needs.

The C017 is equipped with Duplex Class 7 17mm front ball bearings with permanent grease lubrication, features a labyrinth seal design, and comes standard with a full one-year warranty. The C017 is not offered with drive packages, but can be easily
integrated to single and multiple spindle applications. And to support retrofit projects, the Sentry C017 is offered as a precision low-cost solution and drop replacement for the Gilman 1875.
