Cartridge Filters suit high-purity chemical processors.

Press Release Summary:

Incorporating high-flow ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) filtration media, GORE® filters can be used in high-throughput filling, packaging, and recirculation systems for high-viscosity fluids, acids, bases, solvents, specialty chemicals, and other high-purity chemicals used in semiconductor and electronics fabrication. They are available in pore sizes from 0.1-0.03 µm.

Original Press Release:

New Cartridge Filters from Gore Enable Faster, Cleaner Processing of High Purity Chemicals

Elkton, MD, USA (November 2, 2009) - W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore), has applied its award-winning PTFE technology to a family of hydrophobic filters for the manufacture of bulk high-purity chemicals used in semiconductor and electronics fabrication.

GORE® Filters for High-Purity Chemical Processors deliver an up to 200% improvement in flow over best-in-class filters with the same retention rating. This increased flow performance can be used to increase process capacity, decrease the number of filters needed, or as a drop-in retention upgrade that maintains system flow capacity.

The new filters offer maximum benefit in high-throughput filling, packaging and recirculation systems for high-viscosity fluids, acids, bases, solvents, specialty chemicals and other high-purity chemicals used in semiconductor and electronics fabrication. The filters are available in a pore size rating range from 0.1 to 0.03 µm.

GORE® Filters incorporate Gore's proprietary high-flow ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene) filtration media. Gore technology has been used for decades in the world's best-performing filters for semiconductor, electronics, high-purity chemical and pharmaceutical applications.

The new filters will be on view at the booth of Japan Gore-Tex Inc. (JGI) at INCHEM TOKYO 2009, November 18-20, in Tokyo.
