Sandvik Coromant Expands CoroMill Plura Line of Endmills



New endmill features extra long reach to improve machining flexibility

Fair Lawn, New Jersey, November 29, 2006 - Sandvik Coromant has released the new CoroMill Plura Extra Long Ball Nose Endmill, a carbide endmill designed for peak performance in long reach applications, including finishing of hardened steel (greater than 47 HRc) dies and molds. The CoroMill Plura Extra Long Ball Nose Endmill is made of Sandvik Coromant's new wear-resistant P10 grade, which provides excellent cutting in applications with demanding materials.

Machining pre-hardened materials in a single set-up reduces the number of process steps in an application. The CoroMill Plura achieves this, bringing about reductions that can cut lead times by up to 50%.

The CoroMill Plura is a combination of solid carbide tooling solutions designed to provide the best production economy for a broad variety of milling applications, including the tool and die and aerospace industries.
