Telemetrics Displays New Camera Modems For Camera Remote Operating Panels
Transmit & Receive Units Provide Efficient Control Communications.
Las Vegas, NV (April 8, 2002) - Telemetrics, Inc. is displaying a new line of Camera Modems designed for use in remote broadcasting and central casting applications with camera remote operating panels. The new CM-4-CAM Camera ROP Modems connect remote camera panels through RS-232 type signal paths via fiber, telephone or wireless transmission systems.
"There are instances where it becomes very economical to route camera control signals over conventional telephone lines, or via fiber or wireless connection," said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President, Telemetrics, inc. "Our new CM-4-CAM Camera ROP Modems provide another tool that system designers can apply for optimal systems operations."
The CM-4-CAM Camera ROP Modems are available in transmitter and receiver models. The CM-4-XMT Transmission Modem converts camera manufacturers' S protocol allowing control signals to be transmitted from unmodified remote operating panels to the camera. At the camera location, a complimentary CM-4-RCV Receiver Modem converts the signals back to the required format to control the camera. When used in conjunction with a Telemetrics S2 Series Pan/Tilt Head, the receiver modem is not required.
Camera modems are available for Panasonic and Sony type remote operating panels. A 19-inch rack houses four individual converters and power supply for both the converters and camera remote operating panels. Front panel LEDs illuminate when send and return data are present. Power LEDs are also included.
The CM-4-CAM Camera ROP Modems are currently available.
