Broadband Microwave Power Amplifiers cover bandwidths up to 40 GHz.

Press Release Summary:

Model GT-1020A Instrument-Grade Broadband Microwave Power Amplifiers, covering 100 MHz to 20 GHz frequencies, and GT-1040A models, covering 10 MHz to 40 GHz, have flat frequency response, low noise figure, and low harmonics. Solid-state amplifiers provide ½ W at 20 GHz and ¼ W at 40 GHz with greater than 25 dB gain and less than 6 dB noise figure. Gain flatness is typically ±2.5 dB over full frequency range. Units can be placed close to device under test to minimize cable loss.

Giga-tronics Introduces New Instrument-Grade Broadband Microwave Power Amplifiers Covering 100 MHz to 20 GHz and 10 MHz to 40 GHz

SAN RAMON, Calif. - Giga-tronics has introduced the GT-1020A and GT-1040A Instrument-Grade Broadband Microwave Power Amplifiers which cover 100 MHz to 20 GHz and 10 MHz to 40 GHz respectively, with flat frequency response, low noise figure and low harmonics. Designed using broadband MMIC technology, these amplifiers typically provide ½ Watt (+27 dBm) at 20 GHz and ¼ Watt (+24 dBm) at 40 GHz with > 25 dB gain and < 6 dB noise figure. Gain flatness is typically +/- 2.5 dB over the full frequency range.

"The GT-1020A and GT-1040A microwave power amplifiers are the latest addition to the Giga-tronics product line of broadband solid-state microwave power amplifiers. They are focused on the many applications in ATE and Lab bench testing in aerospace and defense, commercial communications, and microwave component test that require higher power than is currently available in microwave signal generators" said Malcolm Levy, vice president of Sales and Marketing of Giga-tronics Incorporated. "We are continually innovating to provide our customers with solutions to their test and measurement needs that improve performance, reduce their test times and provide bottom-line benefits in productivity."

The Giga-tronics GT-1020A, 20 GHz and GT-1040A, 40 GHz amplifiers were designed in response to customer requests for higher power with flat frequency response and low noise. The amplifiers are easily used in R&D lab applications and manufacturing automated test systems to overcome power losses from a signal generator or whenever higher power is required. The small size and light weight make them ideal for Lab bench applications, while the ability to place the amplifier close to the device under test (DUT) minimizes cable loss for more optimal testing.

The Giga-tronics GT-1020A and GT-1040A microwave power amplifiers are ideal companions to the Giga-tronics 20 GHz and 40 GHz Microwave Signal Generators. The amplifiers also feature high reverse isolation, excellent input and output match and the long life and reliability of solid-state technology. Delivery is 6 to 8 weeks ARO.
