Original Press Release:

New Bracket from ERICO® Uses Strut to Separate Power and Voice/Data Cables

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - SOLON, October, 2004 - The new CADDY® CATPDCM Power Divider bracket provides separate pathways for power and voice/data cables with the strut in the center acting as the NEC®-required barrier. It's easier to install than standard cable tray. Simply attach the strut nut to the half-slot strut and run your power and voice/data cables. No need to put in mechanical dividers at the job site.

Single, divided U-hooks are available in 8-in. (200 mm) and 12-in. (300 mm) sizes. Large diameter, rounded support surfaces on all of the U-hooks prevent over-bending and kinking of cables for maximum protection.

The optional CADDY® CATCSCM Cross Support widens the system to 24 inches. This cross brace attaches perpendicular to the strut spine and allows parallel installation of U-hooks.

Both products expand the flexibility of the strut-mounted CADDY® CAT-CM cable support system, a UL®-approved, NEMA® VE-1 compliant alternative to cable tray in low-voltage and power cable applications. The CADDY® CAT-CM system, as a whole, allows for customized support spacing and for horizontal and vertical change of direction. Other installation options for the CADDY CAT-CM include rod mounting and cantilever mounting.

The entire CADDY® CAT-CM system is:
o Time-Saving: No need to install mechanical barriers
o Affordable: Reduces installation costs
o Convenient: Simplifies installation by using strut as the support base
o Flexible: Choice of mounting options and cable capacity
o Effective: Prevents over-bending and kinking of cables
