NYDEN Presents Our New IMS200, an Inexpensive Microstepping Driver Designed for a Large Range of Stepping Motor Applications!

San Jose, CA-NYDEN USA takes hybrid technology to greater heights with the introduction of its IMS200 Microstep Driver this week. Adding to the company's full-line of intelligent Motion Control Systems, the IMS200 is a full-featured bipolar chopper driver that simplifies design and assembly time by providing up to 4 built-in microstep resolutions for optimum running performance and speed.

The low-profile designed IMS200 is an economizing solution for designers looking to run a NEMA size 17 or 23 two-phase/four-phase stepper system in microstep mode from a single power supply. When powered on, adjustable currents up to 2 amps per phase are accurately delivered from the driver to the motor coils in order to enhance precise microstepping. Designers are given the flexibility to switch and perform 1/1, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 microstep resolutions anytime, on-the-fly, without unit reprogramming.

The IMS200 operates from 24VDC, and has built-in features to illustrate power activation. Additional function highlights include optically isolated inputs, Clock/CW & Direction/CCW
inputs, direction control input, an auto-current reducer, and an ultra-small size of 1.9" x 3.5" x .78" for easy operating access in limited space. It handles 4, 6, and 8 lead motors. Furthermore, a special-designed chip placed on the unit increases the connected motor's running torque up to 5%. Designers in the field of machine/instrument building, medical equipment design, and various OEM applications can greatly benefit from using this driver during high volume production in today's costly and competitive marketplace. Each IMS200 is 100% tested before leaving the factory plant, and comes with a full 1-year warranty.
