Original Press Release:

AccelRate Introduces Revolutionary New "Sequencer" Product for Material Handling Industry

Vancouver, B.C, August 31, 2006 - AccelRate Power Systems today announced that it has introduced an exclusive, AccelRate-branded "Sequencer" produced principally for the global motive power industry, and specifically the materials handling market. The Sequencer is designed for use exclusively with all AccelRate® SC Chargers and other chargers using the AccelRate® "High-Speed" technology.

Developed at the request of the Company's dealers and customers, the AccelRate Sequencer was conceived to enable one to four batteries to be connected to a single "High-Speed" charger.

The charger then sequentially "High-Speed" charges each battery, and if extra time is available, sequentially equalizes each battery as well. AccelRate's revolutionary "High-Speed" charger technology provides a full state-of-charge to forklift truck batteries in two hours or less, without generating the usual detrimental heat that shortens battery life and impacts battery performance.

AccelRate has already received orders for the new AS-350 Sequencer, and is now in production. The unique AccelRate AS-350 Sequencer can be used with any AccelRate® SC or AccelRate technology based "High-Speed" charger in the world, thanks to its ability to operate at any line voltage or frequency, making it a true "world" product.

"The AccelRate AS-350 is the only stand-alone sequencer in production today for the material handling market," said Pierre Gadbois, President of AccelRate's Motive Power Division. "The benefits to the end-user are enormous. With four forklift batteries connected, the Sequencer will sequentially "High-Speed" charge all batteries, without requiring any input or supervision from an attendant. The standard auto-equalize feature will further extend the useful life of those batteries. Furthermore, the order, or sequence of charging can be programmed by the end-user to offer additional flexibility, if needed."
