SIMBA 2014 Provides Traceability for Meat / Poultry Processors
Redmond - WA –Â Dynamic Systems, Inc., a Redmond, Washington software developer specializing in barcode data collection, has announced the release of SIMBA 2014, which is designed to provide food meat and poultry processors the ability to process, label and track their products.
Increase production speed and traceability
The SIMBA (Specialized Inventory Management with Barcode Accuracy) system solves the problem of how to produce and track complete product labeling for Meat and Poultry on the fly. The system is easy to use and is customizable for the meat and poultry processor and can be integrated to most scales for proper weight measurements and also tracks by-products to multiple locations.
SIMBA Lite is designed for those companies that process in bulk (similar or same products into constant weight cartons). The system allows a production line worker to change content of product labels with a fingertip on the computer or touch screen, capturing product weight information and printing a label with a barcode identifier for that case or carton.Â
SIMBA inventory system provides production and inventory reporting from the floor and through the supply chain. Cartons can be accumulated onto a pallet and tracked with a single pallet identifier. This integrated system gives the user complete traceability of the product from receiving to shipping. The cartons or pallets can be stored and tracked by location within the warehouse, cooler or freezer.
Van Loading
At the time of shipping, the Van Loading feature of SIMBA tracks each carton or pallet onto a specific van. A Bill of Lading is then produced automatically. This feature not only saves time in the shipping process, it eliminates disputes with the customer regarding what was actually shipped.
