Original Press Release:

Duoline Bag Filters for Continous Flow Filtration Applications

Hayward's DUOLINE(TM) Bag Filters are designed for liquid filtration
applications that cannot be shut down for filter bag change-out. These applications include batch process and continuous flow applications in a wide variety of industries.

The DUOLINE Bag Filter consists of two, double length size, single bag filter housings linked together with a special ball valve or butterfly valve flow switching system. When the bag in one filter housing requires changing, the flow can be diverted to the other housing by opening and closing the valves. The system flow is never shut down. Now the out of service housing can be serviced and a new filter bag installed.

DUOLINE Bag Filters, with optional valve linkage, can give system operator the connivance of switching the flow from one housing to the other with the movement of a single operating handle. This is accomplished by a unique butterfly valve linage assembly. With this assembly a single movement of the operating handle opens and closes four valves at once, so there is no danger of the flow being shut down even for an instant. And the operating handle of the DUOLINE Bag Filter clearly shows which housing is in service at any given time, a real benefit for system operators.

DUOLINE Bag Filters for continuous flow applications are available in either carbon steel or stainless steel with 2" or 3"
150# ANSI flanged piping connections. The filters can be ordered with either side or top entry connections. A complete range
of options is available including pressure differential gauges, filter bag positioners and hold downs, displacement balloons, and
magnet assemblies. A complete range of seals is available including Buna-N, Viton®, EPDM and TFE.
