Eaton Expands Contactor and Bypass Isolation Contactor Automatic Transfer Switch Product Family to Support Critical Power Applications

PITTSBURGH … Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton today announced the extension of its automatic transfer switch product line. The new contactor-based automatic transfer switch (ATS) provides robust monitoring, reporting, and transfer control operations to include in-phase monitor.

“Engineered to meet the emergency power needs of commercial, industrial and mission critical applications, the new automatic transfer switches support uptime and reliability,” said Pamela Combs, product line manager at Eaton. “Eaton automatic transfer switches include contactor and breaker-based options, as well as bypass isolation transfer switches.”

The new 1600-ampere bypass isolation contactor is equipped with dual ATS technology.  The bypass isolation contact switch supports concurrent maintainability through automatic control in the bypass mode for mission critical applications.

Automatic transfer switches are critical components to any emergency or standby power systems. Eaton transfer switches are reliable, rugged, and versatile assemblies for transferring essential loads and electrical distribution systems from one power source to another and qualify for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) credits.
