Automatic Maintenance System includes universal interface.

Press Release Summary:

FXJET Universal Interface allows operation of FXJet AlphaCoder, UJII Automatic Maintence System 1 in. or 1.9 in. Printhead Ink Systems to be used with other manufacturers' controllers including Marsh® Hi-Res, Overture ES, LT, or LX Controllers. AMS automatically self-primes printhead, forcing small amount of ink through channels, expelling trapped air and debris that causes ink drop out. It eliminates wasted ink due to ink purging and priming, and increases mean time between repair/failure.

Original Press Release:

FXJet Universal Interface for the Auto Maintenance System - A "Hands Off" Approach to Printhead Maintenance

FoxJet introduces the FXJet Universal Interface, which is designed to allow operation of FoxJet's FXJet AlphaCoder, UJII Automatic Maintenance System 1" or 1.9" Printhead Ink Systems to be used other manufactures Controllers including Marsh® Hi-Res, Overture ES, LT, or LX Controllers.

The Automatic Maintenance System Provides Hiqh Resolution equipment users with:
o Improved print quality
o Elimination of daily maintenance routines
o Elimination of costly wasted ink due to Ink Purging and Priming
o Eliminates costly wasted ink due to printhead leaking
o Increased mean time between repair/failure

Ink jet printing provides a convenient, cost-effective method of printing barcodes and variable data on primary and secondary packaging. However, each application has unique features and operating environments that may interfere with optimum performance of the printheads.

FoxJet has engineered an innovative solution to printhead maintenance that requires little or no personnel interaction, eliminating lengthy start-up procedures resulting from extended periods of inactivity, or print distortion caused by airborne plant debris.

AMS, a patent pending Auto Maintenance System, is designed to automatically self-prime each printhead, forcing a small amount of ink through the channels, expelling trapped air and debris that causes ink "drop out". Priming cycles are programmed at the plant level, using facility time schedules to determine need.
