Coatmaster 350 from Edax Sets New Standards for Coating Thickness Measurement Systems

MAHAWAH. NJ - Edax Inc. has introduced the CoatMaster 350, a coating thickness measurement machine that incorporates many standard features while reducing the cost of a small- to mid-sized plater. Standard features include:

o A laser for rapid sample positioning
o Choice of collimators of various sizes
o A high precision, Z motorized stage and
o A complete array of software for coating thickness measurements, compositional analysis, report generation, element identification, and or bath analysis measurement

The unit also may be used for jewelry analysis to provide precious metals determination.

The CoatMaster 350 is a state of the art XRF system designed specifically for measuring coating thickness for small to mid-sized parts such as switches, microelectronics, fasteners, electronics and other similar size and shape components.

The CoatMaster 350 performs sophisticated peak deconvolution that provides increased accuracy and precision than competitive systems. Concentration measurements can be obtained with or without the use of standards, via advanced fundamental parameter software. Its GUI is Windows(TM)-based, making it fast and easy to operate and user friendly.

With the introduction of the CoatMaster 350, EDAX adds to its series of CoatMaster XRF thickness measurement machines and jewelry analyzer products and further broadens its extensive product offerings to the coating and plating industry.
