Honeywell Introduces Latest Versions of the H2Oil Analyzer System for the Oil and Gas Industry

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 11, 2001 - The Control Products business of Honeywell [NYSE: HON] introduced the latest models of its H2Oil Analyzer System, a specialized water measurement solution for upstream and midstream operations. In addition to its 4-inch (100mm), 6-inch (150 mm) and 8-inch (200 mm) models, Honeywell now offers the H20il Analyzer in both 2-inch (50 mm) and 3-inch (75 mm). All have Factory Mutual (FM) approval.

"The new models exemplify Honeywell's commitment to developing best-in- class field instrumentation to meet our customers' needs," stated David Kaufman, Director, Field Measurement Marketing for Honeywell Control Products. "These new sizes will enable our customers to use the H20il Analyzer System in a broader range of applications, including well testing, flow station, pipelines, oil movement and storage, and custody transfer." Honeywell's H20il Analyzer System is ideal for the oil and gas industry, as it offers continuous measurement of water from 0 percent to 100 percent. In all types of petroleum production, knowing and controlling the water/oil content improves the efficiency of oil recovery, maximizes oil quality by improving the dehydration process, and minimizes transport of water.

Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) has placed orders for both the 2-inch and 3-inch models. PDVSA chose the H20il Analyzer System because of its ability to increase savings and reduce commissioning time and cost of operations. H20il Analyzer Systems were previously installed in three flow stations, and the results met PDVSA's expectations. The success of this product and its technology can be directly related to the close cooperation and efforts due to the Honeywell - Intevep alliance.
