Sirenza Microdevices Announces Production Release of Two New Low Noise Amplifiers Targeted at High Volume, Power-Sensitive Applications



BROOMFIELD, Colo., Feb. 23 -- Sirenza Microdevices (NASDAQ:SMDI) today announced the production release of two new Silicon Germanium (SiGe) low noise amplifiers (LNA). The SGL-0622Z is a two-stage, fully-matched RFIC offering exceptional broadband performance from 5 to 4000 MHz. The SGL-0363Z is a single-stage LNA optimized for high performance narrowband applications between 5 and 2000 MHz.

"These new low noise amplifiers are ideal for GPS, ISM and WiMAX applications," stated Jeff Gudewicz, Sirenza's strategic business unit director for standard products. "The exceptional performance, low power consumption and low cost make them well-suited for high volume, battery- powered applications."

The SGL-0622Z is available for immediate shipment in a ROHS/WEEE compliant QFN 2x2 package. The SGL-0363Z is also available for immediate shipment in a ROHS/WEEE compliant standard industry package.
