Snap-on Tools Delivers 1.5-ton Lifting Power with New RACEJACK
Press release date: June 1, 2004
KENOSHA, Wis., June 1, 2004 - A new, lightweight aluminum Service Jack from Snap-on Tools Company lets automotive technicians lift vehicles weighing up to 1.5 tons. The Blue-Point(TM) RACEJACK Aluminum Service Jack has a net weight of 37.5 pounds and requires only seven strokes for full height capacity, allowing users to quickly and conveniently lift vehicles for under car maintenance and tire changes.
RACEJACK reaches a maximum height of 17.52 inches with its one-piece casting lift arm. A double knurl top on the two-piece, 47.25-inch long handle helps the technician keep a grip on the handle during operation. A rubber bumper is included on the handle's bottom to protect the vehicle's finish. The unit also includes a front roller wheel for added stability during use.
RACEJACK is constructed with a breather valve to prevent hydraulic lock and ensure smooth lifting. Blue anodized (coated) side plates offer extra protection against corrosion. The side handles are designed with gradual curves for confined area operation. The lift arm, handle yoke and rear caster bracket are built with brushed aluminum for lighter weight. A rear handle makes carrying the RACEJACK to the workplace easy and convenient.
Included with the Blue-Point(TM) RACEJACK Aluminum Service Jack is a pair of Blue-Point(TM) ALUMSTAND Aluminum Jack Stands, offering a three ton capacity to hold the vehicle's frame in place. The stands have a net weight of just 9.26 pounds/pair and accommodate six different height settings in one-inch intervals from 10.5 inches to 15.39 inches. A seven-inch wide reinforced cast base and chrome lock-pin with retainer clip are included for a sturdy, firm hold while technicians complete their tasks.
RACEJACK and ALUMSTAND are designed to meet ANSI PALD 2003 Standards, which ensure proper safety and performance for portable automotive lifting devices.
