CTR 8380 Lowers Cost, Increases Networking Flexibility
SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Aviat Networks, Inc., (NASDAQ: AVNW), the leading expert in microwave networking solutions, today announced the CTR 8380 all-outdoor microwave router. CTR 8380 converges microwave and IP/MPLS functionalities into a single compact device for all-outdoor deployments and is the only outdoor router on the market with integrated microwave capability.
CTR 8380's zero footprint design lowers site costs by eliminating the need for shelters or cabinets, reducing air conditioning requirements and lowering power and fuel consumption. CTR 8380 is also ideal for rooftop locations for delivery of enterprise services and well suited for all-outdoor macrocell and small cell backhaul.
As a router, CTR 8380 extends IP/MPLS to the cell site, improving network scalability, lowering costs and enabling new IP-based VPN services.
