Air Hoists feature patented motor-brake system.

Press Release Summary:

Profi Series Air Hoists offer carrying capacities of 3.2, 6.3, 10, and 16 tons with nominal air pressure of 4 or 6 bar. They are supplied with emergency valve in main air supply, which allows energy supply to be separately shut off in case of emergency. Rotor of vane motor has chambers filled with grease, which continuously lubricate motor during operation. Reduced sound pressure level means less noise stress for operator.

Original Press Release:

J.D. Neuhaus Presents the New Generation of the Air Hoists PROFI

Exactly 50 years ago J.D. Neuhaus presented the first chain hoist with an air motor. Numerous innovations followed in the course of the years. In 1998 the introduction of the new economy series Mini took place which is now followed by the re-launch of the new PROFI series basing on the motor concept of the Mini.

The new Profi will be delivered with carrying capacities of 3,2 t and 6,3 t as well as 10 t and 16 t for a nomainal air pressure of 4 bar or 6 bar.

The proven and patented motor-brake system known from the Mini i.e. a consequent reduction of components and optimised chain
drive guarantee an operation with low maintenance and little wear. Economic manufacturing processes and most modern finishing operations assure productivity on a high quality level. The performance has been increased by 50%. That means for the user:
More efficiency by reliability plus higher lifting and lowering speeds.

At the same time the sound pressure level could be further reduced by 8 dB(A) which corresponds to nearly halving the sound level. This means less noise stress for the operator and more protection and safety at the working place. This is accompanied by a newly designed overload protection. As standard the hoists are supplied with an emergency valve in the main air supply with the aid of which the energy supply can be separately shut off in
case of emergency.

The new Profi does not need an additional motor lubrication because the rotor of the vane motor has chambers filled with high quality grease continuously lubricating the motor during operation. The lubricant does not penetrate to the environment. For this new development JDN has already received a patent.

The very compact design features no protruding control hoses or elements which could be damaged making the new Profi even suitable for horizontal pulling and rough treatment.

Thus the range of applications is nearly unlimited. Thanks to the driving medium compressed air of course in hazardous areas,
too. Whether in the chemical industry or on oil drilling rigs, in foundries or in the ship building industry the Profi shows its strength everywhere.

For Wilfried Neuhaus-Gallade, Managing Director of the J.D. Neuhaus Company, the optimisation of the products plays an important part in the company's strategy. "With the development of the new Profi series we have brought up to date nearly our entire product line during the last ten years" says Neuhaus-
Gallade, "and we would like to pass on this head start in technology to our clients".
