Hilti HIT-HY 150 MAX-SD Fast Cure Hybrid Adhesive
TULSA, Okla. - As testing standards for adhesive anchor systems have become more comprehensive with the latest building codes, the new Hilti HIT-HY 150 MAX-SD is the industry's first fast-cure adhesive anchor system to meet the stringent 2006 IBC cracked concrete performance tests, qualifying it for use in all seismic zones under the current IBC code.
Boasting the fastest cure time of any 2006 IBC-compliant product for cracked concrete and seismic conditions - 30 minutes at 68°F - the new Hilti HIT-HY 150 MAX-SD adhesive anchor system is ideal for installing threaded rods and rebar. Designed for installation of rebar in a variety of load-bearing applications, as well as anchoring applications with threaded rod such as steel columns and beams, machines and equipment and ledger angles, the HIT-HY 150 MAX-SD adhesive anchor system can be used in applications with 3/8" to 1" diameter threaded rods or #3 through #8 rebar. The HIT-HY 150 MAX-SD offers reliable performance, even in the toughest jobsite conditions.
In cold climates, installers benefit from the minimum base material installation temperature of 14°F. In warm climates, it can be utilized in applications where concrete temperatures reach 162°F for extended periods of time. To further increase productivity, the HIT-HY 150 MAX-SD can be put into holes that are damp at the time of installation.
