Abtex Introduces Diamond Abrasive Filament Brushing Tools
Abtex Corporation has added diamond filament brushes to its popular line of abrasive filament brushing tools. The new brushes are available in all of Abtexs brush configurations, and are mounted on the company's proprietary, molded, composite cores and backing materials.
Diamond abrasive grains are impregnated into Abtex's nylon fiber to produce the hardest, most aggressive abrasive filaments. This, combined with Abtex's unique construction method, results in extended brush life.
Diamond abrasive filament brushes are fast becoming the preferred medium for honing carbide cutting tools and finishing harder metals. These tools can also be used for deburring and finishing glass, ceramic and aerospace alloys.
Abtex notes that diamond abrasive filament brushes are application specific. The company tests parts every day in its lab to determine if customer applications are suitable for this or any of their products.
