Zinc Sulfide Optics Transmit Over Broad Wavelength

A new line of multi-spectral, zinc sulfide (ZnS) optics that transmit over a broad wavelength for use in IR imaging and military FLIR systems is being introduced by Laser Research Optics of Providence, Rhode Island.

Laser Research ZnS Optics feature high transmission with minimal scatter and are designed for broad wavelength applications from 0.4 µm to 12 µm. Typically supplied with broadband A/R coatings, these water-clear, multi-spectral optics are ideal for use in IR imaging and military FLIR systems.

Offered in 1/4" to 4" dia. sizes, from 1 mm to 8 mm thick, Laser Research ZnS Optics have surface accuracies to 1/4 wave and 40-20 scratch-dig per MIL-PRF-13830. Chemically inert and non-hygroscopic, applications include tank windows, mid- and long-wave detectors, and laser rangefinders.

Laser Research ZnS Optics are priced according to size, coatings, and quantity. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
