Featuring front panel pushbutton control and DB9 remote port for remote control operation, 8-channel Model 7299 shares single XLR device among 3 others for each of its 8 channels, while 3-channel Model 7298 shares single XLR device among 2 others for each of its 3 channels. Both switch all 3 pins of XLR interface and all channels are switched simultaneously. Housed in EMI/RFI shielded black box, both models retain last switch position in event of power loss and continue to pass data.

Remotely Controllable XLR Switches Ideal for Switching Professional Audio Equipment
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced Pathway Model 7298, 3-Channel A/B, XLR Switch and Model 7299 8-Channel A/B/C XLR Switch. Both of these switches are remotely controllable and ideal for switching professional audio equipment.
The Model 7299 is an 8-channel unit that shares a single XLR device among 3 others for each of its 8 channels and Model 7298 is a 3-channel unit that shares a single XLR device among 2 others for each of its 3 channels. Both units have a front panel pushbutton control and a DB9 remote port that accepts Contact Closure transition signals for Remote Control Operation.
The Model 7298 and 7299 both switch all three pins of the XLR interface and all channels are switched simultaneously. Both units feature attractive black box packaging providing EMI/RFI shielding. They also retain last switch position in the event of a power loss and continue to pass data.
