Mettler-Toledo Safeline Introduces a User-Friendly X-Ray Inspection System for Packaged and Bulk Products

Tampa, Florida, December 12, 2007 - Mettler-Toledo Safeline, Inc., the worldwide leader in metal detection and x-ray inspection equipment, introduces the AdvanChekPlus - offering user-friendly, cost-effective x-ray contaminant inspection and mass detection for packaged and bulk flow products. AdvanChekPlus brings the easy operation and reliability inherent in Safeline metal detectors to X-ray inspection.

AdvanChekPlus delivers Safeline's hallmark qualities of high sensitivity, accuracy, and reliability. Similar to Safeline's AdvanChek, AdvanChekPlus uses Safeline's unique low energy X-ray technology and reliably detects and rejects many contaminants including metal, stone, glass, and bone - even when packaged in metal foil. AdvanChekPlus offers the additional benefit of mass detection with belt width options of 300, 400 and 600.

With a sophisticated, user-intuitive color touch screen interface and a unique automatic set-up feature, AdvanChekPlus requires minimal operator training and is as simple to operate as a metal detector. The system's modular design has three main modules that are quickly replaceable ensuring maximum uptime.

The AdvanChekPlus X-ray system's small and flexible footprint enables easy integration into any production line. Washdown protected enclosure is built to NEMA 12 specifications and is upgradeable to NEMA 4X suitable for high pressure, hot, caustic washdown environments. All material handling and reject systems are custom designed and manufactured in-house specific to each application.

Easy to operate, flexible design, modular construction and improved reliability ensure low start up costs and the lowest lifetime costs of any X-ray system on the market.
