Side loading, 5-panel case packer has 90° discharge, and all major motions are driven via servo motor to optimize throughput and facilitate changeovers. System loads product onto die cut blanks, then forms and seals flaps around product before case enters flap detection system to ensure all sealing is completed.

Schneider Packaging Refines Food Friendly Casepacker

LAS VEGAS, NV - Schneider Packaging Equipment Co. Inc., specializing in end-of-line solutions for cartoning, case packing and palletizing needs, demonstrates its newest food-friendly wrap around servo case packer, the WCP-35, at Pack Expo, Las Vegas Convention Center, September 26-29, 2011 in Booth 2018.
This durable side loading, five-panel wrap around case packer with 90 degree discharge is constructed of stainless steel wash down construction that is ideal for food or pharmaceutical applications. All major motions are driven via servo motor to improve machine throughput and simplify changeovers while reducing air consumption over standard designs.
Schneider's WCP-35 loads the product onto the blanks, then forms and seals the flaps around the product before the case enters the flap detection system to ensure all sealing is completed. This saves considerable resources in both materials and operating costs. The WCP-35 uses economical die cut blanks that the case packer wraps around the product and seals it. The die cut blanks provide cost savings over standard RSC cases which must be folded and glued by the corrugate supplier. Additionally, the case packer case magazine can hold twice as many wrap around case blanks as standard cases requiring half as much operator time to load the magazine. Wrap around cases are an economical and practical solution for most products encountered in food, beverage, dairy, personal care, and frozen environments.
The WCP-35 on display at Pack Expo also features optional perforated stainless steel guarding and separate high and low voltage electrical panels.
