Akro-Mils Introduces New Workbench, Work Tables Line
AKRON, OH (April 2002) - Akro-Mils, a leader in storage, organization, and transport products, introduces a new line of work centers. The line includes steel work benches and work tables outfitted with Akro-Mils storage bins, hanging systems, and cabinets to create useable, organized work stations.
Akro-Mils heavy-duty workbenches in 30" x 60" or 30" x 72" deck sizes, offer optional features to fit many working environments. The work surface is available in 11-gauge steel or 1-1/4" finished oak with rounded edges for a smooth, durable working surface. Both steel and wood work surfaces extend on the front and sides to accommodate a vise or clamps. The fixed-height model stands at 34" and the adjustable-height model has a range of height settings from 30"H to 40"H. Both models offer a choice of blue or gray enamel finish.
Other standard features include a wrap-around steel back stop to keep items from falling behind the workbench; a slanted middle shelf for easy access and visibility of contents; and anchor pads on each leg to keep the workbench in a fixed position on any type of surface.
Optional accessories offer efficient, organized storage to complete the work center setup. Three packages mix small, medium, and large AkroBins® with a steel cabinet and hanging systems to create a variety of storage options for small- to medium-size parts.
For applications requring mobile workstations, Akro-Mils offers heavy and medium-duty work tables with two fixed and two swivel casters. The heavy-duty model features a welded-steel frame with a steel-reinforced hardwood work surface. The table measures 24"L x 48"W with nine adjustable height settings from 36" to 48". An optional accessory package includes a total of 36 AkroBins in two sizes with a rail hanging system. The medium-duty work table measures 24"L x 48"W with a fixed, 36" height. Both heavy- and medium-duty work tables feature hardwood work surfaces; a choice of red, blue, or gray frame colors; and toe-touch locks on the swivel casters. Additional features on the medium-duty model include two steel drawers, a utility tray, and a tubular push handle.
The addition of the work centers line complements Akro-Mils broad selection of plastic storage and organization containers and the RB/Dura line of transport products. Manufactured of wood, steel, or plastic, RB/Dura transport products include hand trucks, platform trucks, multi-shelf carts, dollies, skids, and specialty trucks for odd-shaped items.
