Cook-Chill Goes Wireless

Wireless temperature monitoring of the internal product temperature during an entire cook-chill process now a reality. CheckPoint, developed by TempSys, can wirelessly monitor, record, and alert during the entire cook-chill temperature process and provide a summarized report showing all the control point temperatures to meet USDA and FDA compliance guidelines. Accurate computerized reports can now replace all manual temperature logs, saving hours of labor.

The same wireless system can easily monitor and record the temperature throughout the entire facility, such as storage coolers and freezers, blast chillers, refrigerated storage trailers, etc., with no limit to the number of sensors or facility size. CheckPoint is now used by the FDA and USDA Laboratories, airline meal caterers, hospital central kitchens, hospital pharmacy and dietary departments, hotels, and food processors.

"Our software completely manages the temperature data for the user, immediately alerting and providing procedures for corrective action. The value of CheckPoint is not so much in the data collection itself, but in how we provide guidance to the user with procedures, corrective action, reporting and in most effectively using the data," remarks Robert Yuan, president of TempSys, Inc.
