Original Press Release:

Wireless RF Keyboard Sealed to NEMA 4X

The new CyberResearch(r) radio-frequency wireless keyboard eliminates the keyboard cable, mouse cable, and the line-of-sight requirement imposed by typical IR systems. In addition, the silicone rubber surface of the OIX 7116-U keyboard resists sprayed water and most common industrial coolants and lubricants.

The light but rugged OIX 7116-U wireless keyboard from CyberResearch, Inc. is fully featured, including 116 keys with 24 function keys and a built-in mouse-button pointing device. Powered by three AA batteries, the OIX 7116-U keeps your applications working in almost any type of industrial environment. And unlike infrared wireless keyboards, this RF model offers a 30-foot range with no requirement for direct line of sight between keyboard and receiving antenna. One antenna is built into the keyboard, the other is a USB dongle that goes in any available USB port on the host computer.

The silicone rubber coating on the keyboard is sealed to NEMA 4X (IP65) standards. It resists spills, splashes, and hose-directed water. The compact size of the OIX 7116-U makes it easy to use in tight spaces. Threaded holes in the bottom of the case make it ideal for mounting in 1U rack drawers.

In addition to OIX 7116-U keyboards - now shipping from stock at $595 - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers rugged industrial PCs, CPU cards, monitors, data-acquisition, and motion-control systems.
